Read Miner and David Blount dug at jxr the last two days in the hole I opened up .I added the above
picture courtesy of Read Miner of Columbia, S.C. , who dug this nice crystal Saturday , NOV. 12 ,
2005 .
They report finding amethyst crystals , some a very deep purple and a clear one FOUR INCHES in
diameter ! On the other end of the state , diggers report great success at the Lagrange hogg mine .
J The Hogg mine has fabulous treasures just waiting on folks willing to pay the fee and work .
There sure has not been many folks to visit the place in the last 3 weeks.  Crystal proudly displayed
by young " Dalton "  , a budding  rockhound .
. If your willing to do some work and got a few ( Measley ) dollars to spare , I can hook you up
with good old fashion spine-tingleing , heart pounding gemstone digging  event!  Here's one of
the emails I got in regards to Friday's dig , from Dawn . I think this was her very first collecting
trip :Hi!

much fun!!! Well, not counting that I sorta got there about an hour and a
half later since I got a little lost along the way, but still!!!
Now I just need to round up a bit more money so I can go again! lol ^_^
Thank you SO much for all of your help and your patience! I had an absolute
BLAST! I can hardly wait to do it all over again and see what other crystals
I can find!   Thank you once again!!!  Sincerely,  Dawn Schrader

Just a brief report on
Saturday's , November 5
machine dig in Lagrange . This
was the best dig out there to
date . I found several extremely
large foot long 4" in diameter
crystals .
MASTER DIGGER
crystals as big as coke cans
lagrange georgia quartz crystals
I also gave each digger a five gallon bucket slap full of crystals ! Here's one of the fifty or
so coke can sized crystals that was found . I made sure all the diggers that visited got a
few of these. Note that in addition to red clay that there is adhereing white clay and black
manganese from the pocket
.       I met up with Don Brockway today and he
brought the Diamond Hill Smoky quartz crystals out
today .  They are superb ! I took some quick
pictures . Here's a brilliantly face smokey quartz
crystal cluster that occurs as a secondary
overgrowth over amethyst ! When Don first pulled
these out ,I just had to say " WOW ! ".  Upoun
examineing another specimen , we see an area that
is devoid of iron staining . The area without stain
has a very lustrous bright shiney face . it begs the
question : what will the portion under the staining be
- shiney or frosted / etched ? My geuss ? I'm betting
on shiny .

Just a reminder that at JXR  Lots of big boulders ripe and pregnant
with druse lined cavities...........and maybe .........AMETHYST ! -
abound on the surface. How hard can you swing a hammer ?  For just
$25 lousy bucks you can visit JXR and try your luck ! With gas prices
dropping and fall in the air , theres no better time for rockhounding .
Just call me at 404- and I will hook you up with any of the  hot
properties on the menu Diamond Hill , Hogg Mine , Lagrange quartz
crystal, Jackson's Crossroads  !
Be sure to check out the latest issue of Rock and Gem
magazine ( December 2005 )  as it contains a good four
page article on Jackson's crossroads amethyst  , with nice
pictures . While just now appearing in print , it was actually
written and submitted over a year and a half ago . It tells
how I first brought in the oversized trackhoe  before I had
purchased the property .
This amethyst crystal was found at jxr
